The Boulder West Wildfire Authority (BWWA) is offering a $500 Home Hardening Rebate for homeowners within the Four Mile, Gold Hill, Sugarloaf, and Sunshine Fire Protection Districts.

Homeowners who complete a Wildfire Partners Individual Home Assessment and eligible home hardening work may qualify for reimbursement of up to $500 through BWWA, in addition to the $500 rebate available through Wildfire Partners, for a potential total of $1,000 in rebate assistance.

Eligible projects completed between August 1, 2025, and May 1, 2027 may qualify for BWWA reimbursement. Eligible work includes:

  • Gravel purchase and/or installation costs within the first 5 feet around the home
  • Vent mesh purchase and/or installation costs
  • Other approved home hardening and mitigation improvements that create a noncombustible zone around your home.

To participate:

  1. Complete a Wildfire Partners Individual Home Assessment: https://wildfirepartners.org/individual-home-assessments/
  2. Complete the eligible mitigation work.
  3. Submit receipts for materials and/or contractor costs for reimbursement.
